چکیده

In this paper, we model a specific relay channel named relay multiple access channel (RMAC) aiming at providing a clue to select the relay node in multiple access channels such as the uplink of cellular communication system. In this channel, the relay node not only aids to send the information of the source but also sends its private message to the destination. We derive the achievable rate regions based on decode-andforward strategy for the discrete memoryless RMAC (DM-RMAC) and the additive white Gaussian noise RMAC (AWGN-RMAC), respectively. Numerical results of the achievable rate region for the AWGN-RMAC show that the proposed scheme can improve the rate of user far from the base station with the help of a relay node near to the base station. On the Achievable Rate-Regions for the Gaussian Two-way Diamond Channels

In this channel,we study rate region of a Gaussian two-way diamond channel which operates in half-duplex mode. In this channel, two transceiver (TR) nodes exchange their messages with the help of two relay nodes. We consider a special case of the Gaussian two-way diamond channels which is called Compute-and-Forward Multiple Access Channel (CF-MAC). In the CF-MAC, the TR nodes transmit their mes...

Performance Analysis of cooperative SWIPT System: Intelligent Reflecting Surface versus Decode-and-Forward

In this paper, we explore the impacts of utilizing intelligent reflecting surfaces (IRS) in a power-splitting based simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (PS-SWIPT) system and compare its performance with the traditional decode and forward relaying system. To analyze a more practical system, it is also assumed that the receiving nodes are subject to decoding cost, and they are on...

Extension of the Coverage Region of Multiple Access Channels by Using a Relay

From practical and theoretical viewpoints, performance analysis of communication systems by using information-theoretic results is important. In this paper, based on our previous work on Multiple Access Channel (MAC) and Multiple Access Relay Channel (MARC), we analyze the impact of a relay on the fundamental wireless communications concept, i.e., coverage region of MARC, as a basic model for u...

A General Achievable Rate Region for Multiple-Access Relay Channels and Some Certain Capacity Theorems

In this paper, we obtain a general achievable rate region and some certain capacity theorems for multiple-access relay channel (MARC), using decode and forward (DAF) strategy at the relay, superposition coding at the transmitters. Our general rate region (i) generalizes the achievability part of Slepian-Wolf multiple-access capacity theorem to the MARC, (ii) extends the Cover-El Gamal best achi...
